🇫🇷 Tous les nœuds d'un même réseau doivent partager le même SSID. “hamnet” étant déjà utilisé pour un certain nombre de réseaux amateur “managed” (utilisant des points d'accès) en France et en Europe (http://f4dyw.free.fr/hamnet.html), il semble logique d'utiliser hamnet-mesh pour les réseaux “ad-hoc” maillés. Cependant, il est tout à fait possible d'utiliser un autre SSID choisi en coordination avec les participants au réseau.

As “hamnet” is already used for some “managed” amateur networks (using access points) in France and in Europe (http://f4dyw.free.fr/hamnet.html), il seems logical to use hamnet-mesh for “had-hoc” meshed networks. By the way, it is possible to choose another SSID in coordination with the other participants of the network.

⯈ Vitesse (taux de transfert) / Speed (transfer rate)

🇫🇷 Pour pouvoir communiquer avec ses voisins, un noeud d'un réseau maillé doit utiliser le même taux de transferts que ses interlocuteurs. Une solution simple est de laisser l'interface WiFi négocier la vitesse. Cependant il n'est probablement pas possible d'avoir des vitesses différentes en fonction du voisin et donc tous devront s'aligner sur le plus petit commun dénominateur.

🇬🇧 In order to be able to communicate with its neighbours, un node in a mesh network had to have the same transfer rate as its partners. A simple solution is to let the wifi interface negociate the speed. However, having different speed depending on the neighbour the wifi interface is talking to is less than likely, so everyone will have to adapt to the speed of the slowest peer.
